Stalking the streets

This last Thursday was absolutely delightfulOh, don’t mind us; we were just traipsing through the bustling streets of Birkenhead on a crisp autumn afternoon... We found a scrummy sushi place hidden away in amongst other shops, we picked out yummy flavours, packed them up and walked to the library, where we sat lazily on a gorgeous little bench and gazed at the beautiful views and watched over the carefree kids on the playground. We were inspired by the antique stores where we hunted high and low for our love of vintage finds that had been forgotten. We sauntered into Casa del Gelato and drooled over the array of flavours, luckily, we were allowed to  taste-test their newest treat. We ordered Yogi polar and Snickers sorbet. Oh My! So delicious, it had my taste buds singing. All in all, it was a lovely day spent together, checking out hidden shops, stalking the streets, visiting the library, devouring gelato and walking past cute cafes.

I got a crush

{1. chunky gold watches}

This week we are loving these looks and after the long weekend we don't mind having jars full of these adorable pastel easter inspired cookies. After over indulging on mountains of chocolate it was nice to treat ourselves with these butter biscuits (and the darling shapes make them even more addictive!)
The new O.P.I Texas range had us oohing and aahing, and the rich forest green colour has shot to the top of our winter wishlists.
While the weather has left us stuck inside, you can brighten up the stormy days with hits of bright yellow  throughout your house. Take white, black or grey furniture and then play it up with yellow accents to bring back the sun.
Perfecting the look of the gold chunky man watch this winter with armfuls of jewellery and stacks of rings  is a must-do.  The statement piece adds edge to any outfit and borrowing your beaus makes it even more special or track one down at a seconds store.
As the holidays begin to draw to a close, the simple Sundays spent by the fire to stay warm are making a comeback. Theres nothing better than cuddling up on a winters night and watching the flames dance across the wood with a bowl of home made hot soup.

Butter and bunnies

You will need:
1 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
3 cups of sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon milk
2 teaspoons of vanilla

How to make Easter cookies:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and beat well.
Sift the dry ingredients and add them to the creamed mixture.
Add the milk and the vanilla and chill the dough for an hour.
Roll the dough out.

Dip a rabbit, egg or any easter shaped cookie cutter into flour and cut the cookies.
Place them on a greased baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees celcius.
Once completely cooled, ice your cute Easter cookies with beautiful pastel colours.

Chirpy chickys

We have been utterly obsessed with these adorable easter looks ever since we visited the Chocolate Boutique earlier this week. Although we live in the southern hemisphere and cannot claim easter during our spring, its far more fun to get fully behind the excitement of the season and the pastel palates were too cute to resist! From delectable chocolate sweets, to hanging homemade eggs from spray painted branches in a vintage vase, Easters about eggs, whatever shape or form. So, gather your loved ones and indulge this easter with both edible and decorative goodies.

Oh Goodie!

With Easter simply one hop away we are releasing our inner child to play Easter Bunnies.  Pastels were pulling at our heart strings with baby pink, lemon yellow and minty green were the standout colours of the season.  In the pursuit of finding the perfect way to create a goodie bag of surprises, we played around using decorated eggs, rolls of coloured ribbon and adorable bags. With hidden treats buried inside, let the easter egg hunt begin!
